Free Showerhead Swap

The average showerhead uses about 2.5 gallons per minute. By swapping out your existing showerhead with a 1.5 gallons per minute fixture, you can save approximately 2,500 gallons of water per year!  

The City is offering free, polished chrome showerheads that can help you save money without sacrificing performance. Stop by the City’s Water Conservation Office to swap your showerhead for a new WaterSense® labeled high efficiency model. WaterSense® labeled showerheads are third-party tested to ensure high quality performance while obtaining water savings that can benefit everyone in the community!

Be sure to bring your old showerhead with you to receive your new showerhead. To qualify, showerheads must be connected to City of Bozeman water and old showerheads must use greater than 1.5 gallons per minute.

Free Faucet Aerators

Average sink fixtures are equipped with 2.2 gallons per minute aerators. Aerators are an easily replaceable component that allow air flow within the stream to help reduce water flow. When installed properly, faucet aerators can save an average family more than 500 gallons of water per year.

Free Pre-Rinse Spray Valves (PRSV’s)

Average pre-rinse spray valves use about 3 gallons per minute. For a limited time, the Water Conservation Division will replace your commercial kitchen’s high-water use spray valve with a water-efficient model that uses only 1.15 gallons per minute free of charge!

 Help your kids learn the just how much water is used, and can be saved on the landscape with this sprinkler assessment kit that includes an activity sheet, 12 sprinkler gauges to be used as catch can devices, educational coloring and activity book, and a water conservation pencil (supplies are limited).
