All Point sources of Wastewater discharge are required to obtain and comply with a Montana Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (MPDES) Permit. Major municipal dischargers like Bozeman include facilities with design flows of greater than one million gallons per day and have an EPA/State approved industrial pretreatment program. Effluent Monitoring

Our MPDES Permit contains Effluent Limitations based on federally-specified minimum levels based on available and achievable water treatment technologies. Limits are also established to protect beneficial uses and Water Quality Standards (WQS).
