The following report is an update for the week of November 11, 2024:
MSU Football vs. Sac State – Kagy will be closed Saturday, 11/9, between 7th and 11th beginning at 9:00 a.m.
S 11th Ave the sidewalk on the east side of S 11th Ave between Lincoln St and Grant St will remain closed this week.
Mendenhall St Paving work is completed. Grade-A Civil is planning to stripe Mendenhall starting on Thursday 11/7. This will require partial (single lane) closures from 5th Ave. to Grand Ave. It should be wrapped up by Friday 11/8 but here is a potential for some activities to spill over into Saturday 11/9.
Tschache Lane will remain closed between N 11th and N 15th due to the construction in that area.
Villard St will be closed between N Willson Ave and N Tracy Ave during work hours for various construction activities associated with the construction of the Henry building (see below.)
Other closures and Project Updates:
North Central:(Either Tracy or Willson must be open, they can’t both be closed at the same time.)
Henry: Monday – Friday next week we will be heavy on Tracy road closures from Villard to Beall. More traffic control with flag men for equipment use.
Swank Enterprises: Royal Wolf Way will be closed for heavy equipment operations during construction of the new Barnard HQ.
Arco-Murray: 818 W Babcock. There will be street narrowing and detours around the construction site. Site is fully fenced. Signage in place and checked daily. They are on the schedule with High Country Paving for next Thursday and Friday 11/14/-11/15. They are replacing the curb inlet on the corner of 9th and Babcock this week and working on curb prep. They will need West Babcock closed again Tuesday - Friday next week for curb placement, asphalt prep and paving. 9th Ave and the alleyway on the south side of the project will follow. They will only shut down one street or alleyway at one time.
Arco-Murray – 421 W Main: N 5th is closed from Main to Mendenhall. Main is narrowed on the north side of the street.
**Sime Construction - Tie into existing Water and Sewer lines at the Graf Street Apartments at 19th and Graf. Graf street work is complete minus new curb. The new curb will not impact traffic. Update: We will have a concrete crew onsite in July and will get the temporary curb replaced with the permanent curb.
Constructive Solutions: Alley Enhancement Project: The Downtown Bozeman Alley Project continues, although no work currently going in the alley this next week.
Langlas: 122 E Main A pedestrian walkway remains in place for the renovation of the Cooper Black Building.
Sage Communications: Work will continue along Baxter Lane, west of N 19th, to install fiber. There shouldn’t be any traffic interruptions.
Northwestern Energy Gas Line Replacement Project: They have one crew working this coming week and they will be operating in the alleys south of Harrison Street between South 6th and South 4th Avenues where they will be retiring the old steel services and backfilling as they proceed through the alleyways.
22 S Grand – They are making good progress and are planning to flow fill the street cuts tomorrow. They will hopefully be paving early next week.
Omdahl Construction – We are working on a permit for a sewer line replacement in the 600 block of N Tracy. This would begin 11/13 and go through 11/27.
