Project Description:
Installation of a new Wastewater Lift Station near the intersection of Valley Center Road and E. Valley Center Spur Road. The project will also include installation of a sewer force main from the lift station to the existing gravity sewer main in Davis lane.

Travel Impacts: Little to no traffic impacts are expected with the project. Both the lift station and force main will be located on private property south of Valley Center Road. The project is currently in the predesign phase.

 S. Black Avenue Utility Rehabilitation Project

Project Description:

• Replacement of existing sewer main in Black Avenue from College Street to Main Street.
• Replacement of existing storm main in Black Avenue from Curtiss Street to Olive Street and from Babcock Street to Main Street.
• Replacement of existing water and sewer mains in Dickerson Street from Black Avenue to Bozeman Avenue.

Temporary closures of lanes or partial closures of roads to accommodate construction activities. Reduced road capacity due to lane closures or detours can lead to increased delays and congestion. Temporary restrictions or closures of driveways, sidewalks, and bike lanes within the construction site.

Travel Impacts:  There will be no more closures associated with this project until next spring.

2024 MSU Football Games and Closures

Kagy will always close at 4 hours prior to kickoff time. 

• November 9, 2024 – Kagy Between 7th & 11th closes at 9 AM
• November 23, 2024 – Kagy Between 7th & 11th closes at 8 AM

The following report is an update for the week of November 11, 2024: 

MSU Football vs. Sac State – Kagy will be closed Saturday, 11/9, between 7^th and 11^th beginning at 9:00 a.m. 

S 11^th Ave the sidewalk on the east side of S 11^th Ave between Lincoln St and Grant St will remain closed this week. 

Mendenhall St Paving work is completed. Grade-A Civil is planning to stripe Mendenhall starting on Thursday 11/7. This will require partial (single lane) closures from 5^th Ave. to Grand Ave. It should be wrapped up by Friday 11/8 but here is a potential for some activities to spill over into Saturday 11/9. 

Tschache Lane will remain closed between N 11^th and N 15^th due to the construction in that area.

Villard St will be closed between N Willson Ave and N Tracy Ave during work hours for various construction activities associated with the construction of the Henry building (see below.)

Other closures and Project Updates:

North Central:(Either Tracy or Willson must be open, they can’t both be closed at the same time.) 

Henry: Monday – Friday next week we will be heavy on Tracy road closures from Villard to Beall.  More traffic control with flag men for equipment use. 

Swank Enterprises: Royal Wolf Way will be closed for heavy equipment operations during construction of the new Barnard HQ. 

Arco-Murray: 818 W Babcock. There will be street narrowing and detours around the construction site. Site is fully fenced. Signage in place and checked daily. They are on the schedule with High Country Paving for next Thursday and Friday 11/14/-11/15. They are replacing the curb inlet on the corner of 9th and Babcock this week and working on curb prep. They will need West Babcock closed again Tuesday - Friday next week for curb placement, asphalt prep and paving. 9th Ave and the alleyway on the south side of the project will follow. They will only shut down one street or alleyway at one time. 

Arco-Murray – 421 W Main: N 5^th is closed from Main to Mendenhall. Main is narrowed on the north side of the street. 

**Sime Construction - Tie into existing Water and Sewer lines at the Graf Street Apartments at 19^th and Graf. Graf street work is complete minus new curb. The new curb will not impact traffic. Update: We will have a concrete crew onsite in July and will get the temporary curb replaced with the permanent curb. 

Constructive Solutions: Alley Enhancement Project: The Downtown Bozeman Alley Project continues, although no work currently going in the alley this next week. 

Langlas: 122 E Main A pedestrian walkway remains in place for the renovation of the Cooper Black Building. 

Sage Communications: Work will continue along Baxter Lane, west of N 19^th, to install fiber. There shouldn’t be any traffic interruptions. 

Northwestern Energy Gas Line Replacement Project: They have one crew working this coming week and they will be operating in the alleys south of Harrison Street between South 6th and South 4th Avenues where they will be retiring the old steel services and backfilling as they proceed through the alleyways.  

22 S Grand – They are making good progress and are planning to flow fill the street cuts tomorrow. They will hopefully be paving early next week. 

Omdahl Construction – We are working on a permit for a sewer line replacement in the 600 block of N Tracy. This would begin 11/13 and go through 11/27.
