Where is the Bozeman Municipal Court located?

How do I appear in open court?

Open Court is held Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings at 8:45 am. You can schedule your appearance on our schedulicity page and check in with the municipal court counter before 8:15 am to ensure your spot in open court.
When is my citation payment due?

Your payment is due on or before your court date.

I went online to pay my traffic citation and it says I need to appear in court. Why?

The majority of traffic tickets can be paid online. There are a few exceptions.

1. If there was an accident and the restitution requested box is checked, you have to appear in court.

2. There are some traffic tickets for which you must appear in court. The most common of these are Driving Under the Influence offenses, but there are others
I don't think I'm guilty. How do I challenge a citation?

To challenge a Citation you have to appear in open court. Open Court is at 8:30 am on Monday, Wednesday, or Thursday unless it is a holiday. You can schedule your appearance using Schedulicity. You will need to check in with the clerks by 8:15 am before appearing.
How do I get records from an old case/citation?

To initiate a records search, dial (406) 582-2040 and select option 4. Records requests can take up to 6 weeks. Please let us know if you feel your request is urgent.
